INSPIRE OTHERS
We can learn from the stories of others. Listening to their experiences can help us gain insight we may have never had before. Do you know of an inspiring story we should listen to?
The brain is a muscle, and muscle has memory. Whenever we experience an emotional crisis, our brain immediately responds with how we “should” cope, which drives our behavior. However, sometimes the coping behavior that we have used throughout our lives may not move us forward in our healing process.
Have you ever self-sabotaged and not understood why?
Do you ever repeat patterns of behavior that you have tried to stop but cannot?
In our ZIA de FLOR experiment, you will learn how to prioritize what will move you forward in your healing journey.

We call it an experiment because right now we want you to test out our group to see how it may work for you.
I was a lifelong perfectionist, driven by a desire for overachievement, accomplishment, and competition. Until one day, without warning, I went completely blind. In the emergency room, I was shocked to learn that unbeknownst to me, I had survived a stroke. Shortly before I lost my sight, I lost my job, but most devastatingly, someone I deeply cared for was mysteriously found dead.
In one year, my whole life came crashing down, but I was forced to be vulnerable, open up, and ask for help.
Letting people help me when I was most vulnerable forced me to acknowledge that I had hidden the severity of past abuse, crippling PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and deep depression for most of my life.
As a former mental health therapist and behavioral coach who has served thousands of people in my 20-year career, I have never seen any therapeutic intervention more powerful than a strong support system. Housebound due to my catastrophic injuries, I slowly struggled to pick up the pieces of my life and cope with all that loss.
I desperately searched for an interactive virtual support group of people who understood what I was going through, but I found nothing.
That is what inspired me to build FLOR Institute. I want to help others find healing, learn mindfulness, overcome challenges, and rediscover their lives with other people who understand what they are going through.
